As part of its international expansion, AES related cooperation agreements with companies in the Middle East and India: Engineering and Construction companies, specializing in renewable energy.
This cooperation results in the export of equipment and engineering consultancy: for photovoltaic equipment, desalination of sea water and lighting.
In the context of the fight against greenhouse gas emissions, production development of renewable energy, waste recycling, the agricultural methanation is a promising sector. This technique, which was an important development in a number of European countries, has potentially many interests:
- biogas production, a renewable energy source ;
- decentralized electricity production can generate network economies;
- fight against greenhouse gas emissions by promoting biogas;
- integration into a logic of territorial management of organic waste and recycling material ;
- diversification of agricultural activity
- for farmers, bio methanation allows to diversify the income of their operations;
- positive image of the company with regard to the outside.
Reminder of bio methanation principle
Bio methanation is a simple enhancement of organic matter resulting from their degradation in the absence of oxygen and dark by the action of micro-organisms. This technique results in the production of a gas mixture called biogas, consisting of 55% to 70% of methane which can be used as a fuel and a digestate used as agricultural amendment.
